Founded in 2013, Journey Found is a non-profit organization that allows adults with developmental disabilities to receive the care and services they need. Based out of Manchester, CT, Journey Found continues to provide services to those who may not be able to get them elsewhere.

In fact, Chris’s sister, Rachel, receives assistance here, so Journey Found really holds a special place in our hearts here at our insurance agency.

This organization provides transportation, clothing, housing, medical care, food, and other necessities adults with developmental disabilities need to live an independent and fulfilling life. They also provide piece of mind to families who no longer have to worry about their love one’s future. Journey Found also provides opportunities for these people to work and live in a safe community.

So, how can you help support their mission?

Attend Events

Journey Found hosts a variety of fundraisers throughout the year to help raise money for the expenses associated with the care they provide.

This May they are hosting another 5K Run & Walk in South Windsor, CT. Our team attended it last year, and it was a great way to raise money for the wonderful people at Journey Found. We hope to see you this year!

Journey Found will also be at our Flag Day event again this year with information and a donation bucket for you to give monetary donations. Monica Carr, Journey Found’s Fund Development Coordinator, was thrilled to see all the support our community showed her last year, and we hope to show her even more this year!

Life can be hectic at times, and if you don’t have the time to attend a fundraiser or charity event, consider making a monetary donation. You can donate any monetary amount online through their website or even through their Facebook page. Every penny counts and makes a huge difference in the lives of those that Journey Found serves.
