We have discussed, on multiple occasions, how big of a moment it is when you purchase a home.  Since it’s probably going to be one of the biggest- if no THE biggest- investments you’ll ever make, then there are a several things you need to think about before signing up for that mortgage and ct homeowners insurance. Below are some thoughts that you need to contemplate when looking to purchase a home:

Can I handle the stress?  There’s no sugar coating it- this can be a stressful process, but if don’t intelligently and efficiently, the stress can be by and large avoided.

If I’m selling my current house, how can I go by getting more for it?  Preparation and homework! It’s almost a proven fact that staged, ready, and clean homes sell quicker and for more money when they look like they are already lived in.

River reflection of the sky and the autumn colorsIs my asking price even remotely realistic? Three words: Get an appraisal.

Why do I want this home?  Is your family growing? Have you recently gotten a promotion and in a safe work position? What is it that’s truly important to you about moving into a newer/bigger home?

When is the best time for me to look at homes and simultaneously put my house on the market? If your home is ready NOW, the season doesn’t really matter, but the experts say that spring and fall are the best of the four seasons for home purchases.

Have a great weekend everyone!
