Yesterday we started a great discussion on holiday mishaps that can occur, and whether or not they would be covered by your standard CT homeowners insurance policy.  Well, we’re here today to continue this fun and festive list, just to make sure that we’ve pretty much covered the bases to give you the peace of mind in knowing that if something out of the norm were to occur, you’d be taken care of by your CT homeowners insurance agency.

– Well, this is definitely a depressing scenario, but unfortunately it’s happened before: there’s a burglary at your home and the Christmas presents that Santa brought were stolen. But there is a light at the end of this bummer tunnel: those gifts will be covered by your CT homeowners insurance.

-You’ve taken full advantage of the free shipping opportunities online and have conducted all of your Christmas shopping via your living room.  Well, while this sure is fantastic, unfortunately the delivery man slips on your icy walkway and injuries himself.  Luckily, both he and you are covered because of your home’s insurance policy, so sleep easy!

-Throwing a Christmas party and a couple of guys get into an altercation.  You try to break it up but end up hurting one of the guys worse.  Unfortunately, any medical expenses or legal action possibly taken will more than likely NOT be covered by your home’s insurance policy.  I know- this is a pretty big stretch in terms of scenario. But trust us- it’s happened before!

Let’s continue to have a safe and wonderful holiday season- hopefully CT homeowner insurance claim free!
