I know it’s an absolutely spectacular day outside, and I can’t wait to get out of the office, but as an insurance blogger, I can’t help but think about certain things that could happen at a moment’s notice.  I’ll stick to this weather analogy today- so we have a beautiful day like today, but all of a sudden, a thunderstorm comes out of nowhere and you’re out on the golf course (trust me, I’m going somewhere with this, I swear!).

You didn’t realize that it was suppose to rain and thus didn’t have any rain gear or even an umbrella in your bag, and now not only are you soaked, but you’re now miserable and the nice afternoon on the course has been ruined.

lightningHowever you look over at your buddy who quickly put his rain gear on, has his umbrella fully out, and is gauging the distance on his approach shot- dry as can be.  After he knocks it within ten feet of the pin (lucky), you ask him, “hey, you packed your rain gear even though there wasn’t any risk of rain today?”  With a smile, he responds, “it’s always in my bag so whenever I need it, I know it’s right there for me.”

The same is true for umbrella ct insurance coverage.  Just like the rain gear out on the golf course- you never want to use it, but always have it with you in your bag, just-in-case.  Now while we all should have the standard ct insurance policies like homeowners, auto, life, etc., the umbrella policy gives you that EXTRA coverage you may need at a moment’s notice.

Even though you have insurance already, something drastic could occur that could require additional money that is above your policy.  Without an umbrella policy, that leftover is going to have to come out of your own personal finances.  But with the ct insurance umbrella policy, you’d be all set.  So with the umbrella, you’re safe with your ct insurance, and your dry out on the golf course- FORE!
