“Teaching is a very noble profession that shapes the character, caliber, and future of an individual. If the people remember me as a good teacher, that will be the biggest honor for me.” – APJ Abdul Kalam

That is the absolute truth folks, which is why on Teachers’ Day, we want to take the time to appreciate all of our teachers who are working hard to inspire our youth! Where would we be without them?

The History of World Teachers’ Day

World Teachers’ Day has been around for about 20 years, celebrated as an annual occasion. It’s held on the 5th of October every year, and is also known as International Teacher Day. The purpose of this holiday is to celebrate, acknowledge, and even evaluate teachers to help enhance their teaching abilities.

Today, we’d like to highlight some local teachers within the Stafford Public School Systems that have really helped us connect with our local youth, and inspire them to be bright readers, positive thinkers, and push their creativity!

Mrs. Brisson

Mrs. Brisson is the head of the reading program at the Stafford Elementary School, and has done an amazing job with helping us implement our biggest program in the school system, Bikes for Reading! The students absolutely love her, as you can tell in our photo. She’s done such a great job with helping the kids enjoy reading, which helps their learning abilities, and inspires them to try to make a difference in our small town when they grow up too. Thank you Mrs. Brisson!

Ms. Bienvenu

Ms. Bienvenu heads up the music program at the Stafford Elementary School. Her daily positivity helps bring out the children’s creativity, and the music program simply would not be the same without her. Last year, our insurance agency visited the elementary school to donate a set of ukuleles, and Ms. Bienvenu took the time to teach the students how to play them. The next time we visited, they impressed us with a live performance! Her ability to teach and inspire the students had us marvelled; thank you Ms. Bienvenu!

Mr. Montgomery

Mr. Montgomery is the Principal at Stafford Elementary School, and never before have we seen a school principal with so much patience take the time to connect with their students on an individual basis. We wanted to shoutout Mr. Montgomery because he helped our insurance agency implement the Kindness Revolution within our local school and town here in Stafford, and for that, we are forever grateful. In a world crowded with negativity, we are reminding our youth that it is cool to be kind, and encourage positivity on an everyday basis! Thank you so much for helping us connect with our youth and teach them about the importance of kindness Mr. Montgomery!
