We may be springing forward this Sunday, but we’re not out of the woods yet. It’s still technically winter, and as we transition to spring there are going to be a lot of germs in the air. As a business owner you may be busy taking care of crucial matters, but it’s sometimes a good idea to notice the little things that will also help your small company. When it comes to your employees it’s necessary to not only keep them happy, but healthy as well. If an employee were to fall ill, would your group benefits policy with business insurance be able to help them?

In any workplace environment it’s very easy for people to get sick which is why keeping your business sanitary should be a top priority. Whether it’s a minor sickness like a cold or a more major one such as the flu, you should be taking the necessary steps to avoid germs spreading like wildfire. Here are some tips to keep your business clean and sanitary:

Keep sanitizing wipes handy: A good practice you ought to consider is putting hand sanitizing wipes in the bathrooms and kitchen (if there is one). Wipes work better than gels, and won’t cost you an arm and a leg.

Have cleaning supplies ready: You should have cleaning sprays and paper towels available to clean any surfaces that work is done on such as desks. Ideally, any surface that hands touch should be cleaned often.

Implore employees to wash hands: You should be constantly telling your employees to wash their hands throughout the day especially after they use the bathroom.

Just because it’s summer time doesn’t mean that germs won’t be spreading around your business. If you have any more questions about keeping your workplace germ free, contact our CT insurance agency today.
