If you’re a new homeowner and aren’t sure of the ins-and-outs of taking care of your most valuable investment, don’t worry, everyone goes through this learning process. Luckily for you, we at Paradiso Insurance have provided you some tips in maintaining your perfect Connecticut homeowners insured home!

Q. You have a gas water heater that’s getting pretty old. Thinking about a tankless water heater, but is there anything i should be aware of before buying one?

The big advantage of tankless water heaters is that they can produce hot water instantly and whenever you need it. They also get rid of the heat loss that occurs after long-period use.

Q. I have an old porcelain on steel bathtub and there’s rust that;s formed on the drain. Should I invest in a tub liner?

A plastic bathtub liner can be used to restore your tub, but it can certainly cost you. A liner can cost considerably more than refinishing a tub, but the cost is far less than removing an old tub and installing a new one. Take a look at your budget and see what you can, and cannot afford.

Q. We just installed thermal windows in the house, and they’re great at keeping the heat in, but they are terrible when it comes to outside noise. Any tips?

Since everything is going green these days, noise reduction has taken a back seat to savings on heating costs.  Ask the window dealer about the problem and they should give you some great information that will assist you in the buying process.

Hopefully these tips from Housemaster help you out with your home troubles, and if you ever have something happen, make sure to inform Paradiso Insurance of your CT homeowners claim!
