It seems as though Old Man Winter would like to make another appearance this week with some snow, some wind, and more bitterly cold weather…yay living in New England!  While the snowfall amounts are nothing to laugh at, it’s still a snow storm that’s looking like it will bring about a foot of snow, plenty of winter, and cold air that will make you shiver from your ears to your ankles.

The most important thing to look out for with a storm like this is the person in the mirror.  That’s right- you! Don’t be silly and venture out of the house in sub-par clothing during a storm like this, especially with the cold temperatures.  You’re just asking for a cold or worse! Always make sure you have plenty of layers on to protect your skin from frostbite and your core from hypothermia.  The last thing you want is a trip to the hospital and a claim on your general CT health insurance for frostbite when it could have easily been avoided!

Winter coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and of course- good boots are what everyone should have with them (and on them) when venturing out into this type of weather.  And skiing buddy of mine always says “there isn’t bad weather, just bad clothing decisions,” and I don’t think that’s more appropriate than on nights like tonight and mornings like tomorrow.

So make sure to bundle up if you plan on heading outside tonight or when you attempt to shovel out your car tomorrow morning before work or school.  And if you have any issues whatsoever that you may think your CT insurance may have to come into play, please don’t hesitate to call us at Paradiso Insurance!
