Well it looks like you can add ct insurance to the list of discounted items available for senior citizens.  Connecticut, as well as over thirty other states in America offer some type of discount for insurance, especially CT auto insurance. Now each state has it’s own rules and regulations, but the general consensus is that seniors can receive a break on there insurance for their vehicles by simply taking a class on a wide variety of topics aimed at making them better drivers.

Now while some my not want to take the classes because they think they aren’t needed, I think once they hear that they can save as much as 10% on their CT auto insurance they may give the class another thought.  So once these drivers (usually 55 and older) decide to take a class, need to look and see who offers them.  Luckily, there are several companies such as AARP and AAA that offer these specific classes for older drivers.

So once you have successfully completed and passed the course, all you have to do is turn in the certificate you receive to your insurance carrier to prove that you have indeed taken the course and have passed with flying colors.  They will then take that information and provide you with the discount- like we said, it could be upwards of ten percent.  In fact, the state of Connecticut requires insurance companies to provide at least a five percent discount for qualifying older drivers who have completed the course.

It may be a good idea for you or your parent or grandparents to look into something like this, because it’s really a win-win situation.  Think about it- all you have to do is take a class, many of which are online now, and then you receive a better price on your CT auto insurance policy without sacrificing coverage.  See?! How great is that?!
