If you’ve stopped into the insurance agency recently or taken part in our marketing workshops, you may have run into Aleesha. She’s more of a behind-the-scenes kind of person here at Paradiso Insurance, but still is a vital part of the team! Aleesha joined the Paradiso Insurance family in December and is a part of the marketing team. She works with Joe to provide content for our blog, social media, and other happenings at the agency.

We wanted to get to know Aleesha even better, so we sat her down and asked her a few questions about her life outside of the office.

Who is Aleesha outside of Paradiso Insurance?

Outside of Paradiso Insurance I’m a simple person who likes to enjoy the time I have with my family and friends. I like to consider myself a pretty easygoing person, so I’m content just spending time with the people I care about.

What do you like to do with your free time in the evenings and/or on weekends?

During the week I try to go to the gym twice a week after work or go for a walk. I really like being outdoors, so when I’m off work you can probably find me outdoors walking or hiking. When I’m not being active, I really like to relax and binge watch a good series on Netflix, read comics, or play video games.

I also spend a lot of my time creating my own artwork, whether it’s sketching in the park or doodling on my computer, I always try to tap into my creative side every weekend.

I also like to spend a lot of my time hanging out with my friends and creating memories. When I can I love to travel and see new places. Road trips can take a while, but they’re a lot of fun. Museums are great to see, too.

What is your favorite quote?

I actually have two quotes that I really like.

“Be kind, for everyone is fighting a battle you know nothing about.” -Unknown

“Raise your words, not your voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder.” -Rumi

What is your biggest fear?

I think one of my biggest fears is failure.

What was your most recent vacation spot, and any activities you enjoyed while away?

A few summers back I went camping in Cape Cod for a week. It was really nice to walk around, see the beach, shops, and people. I haven’t gone on any vacations yet this year, but I’ve been doing a lot of traveling to different state parks almost every weekend!

Can you tell me a little bit about your family/home life? Pets? Kids? Etc.

I currently live with my boyfriend of 7 years and we don’t have any kids. But, we do have one fur baby named Topey. We actually adopted her from a kind lady out in Vernon. She’s currently 4 years old and has provided us with many fun memories. She’s quite a quirky cat.

How has life for you changed since you started working for Paradiso Insurance?

Well, I feel like I’ve been given a lot of great opportunities here. I’ll be honest, when I first applied to work here I was worried I wouldn’t have the skills to keep up with everything. I was one semester away from graduating school, sort of scrambling to get my life together, and didn’t have much marketing experience.

However, I’m really glad I was given the chance to work here. My life has changed drastically for the better and I really like that everyone is very supportive of one another here. We all work hard and get our tasks done, but it’s nice to hear everyone laughing at the end of the day. I feel like everyone considers themselves a part of a family here, not just coworkers.

I also feel like my creativity can thrive here and that what I make has an impact on the world, especially when our insurance agency gets involved in community and charity events. I really liked being a part of the Bikes for Reading Program this year and participating in the run for Journey Found. Of course, we do a lot more, but those were the most memorable events to me.

A lot of the positivity around the office has rubbed off on me and I feel appreciated here. So, I try to spread that to other people outside of insurance agency. Chris is always trying to give back and help others, so it encourages me to do the same, even if it’s something small.

What are your skills and what can you help our customers with when they stop in?

Well, even though I can’t advise someone in their insurance needs, I can greet them with a smile and guide them to the right agent who can assist them like Hillary or Stephanie.

Of course, if you have any questions about insurance services or your current policy, you can stop in today or call us at 860-684-5270.
