When you hear the term biker, what do you think of? Someone outside at 6am peddling away on a thirty mile jaunt on the country roads of Connecticut? Or are picturing flying down the road on your street bike or chopper motorcycle, with its engine roaring and your hair waving in the breeze? Well regardless of whether you choose horsepower or willpower, all of the different kinds of bikers need Connecticut Insurance!

Whether you’re traveling at 15 miles per hour or 60 miles per hour, there are road threats that are really only specific to bikers.  For example, if you hit a deer in your car, it’ll leave a good dent in your bumper, but chances are you’ll be fine.  The same can’t be said if you hit a deer on your motorcycle.  Additionally, if it’s raining outside, cycling can be extremely dangerous whereas traveling by car, as long as your vehicle is properly maintained, isn’t that fearsome.  This is why it is so very important to keep focus and attention on the road and your surroundings at all times when biking. (The same is true for any vehicle though!)

You’re far more likely to be injured on a bike and motorcycle on the road than you are if traveling by car, truck or SUV.  It’s pretty easy to see why, since you’re fully protected inside the vehicles cabin, whereas while riding, your body is completely exposed.  That’s why it is so vital to practice safe biking habits.  If you’re injured while biking, and you don’t have health insurance or any type of Connecticut Insurance to cover your injury and recovery expenses (or what about if this injury puts you out of work???), you could find a massive void in your savings account!

So what’s the moral of this story? While biking, regardless of the type, always practice safe riding habits, have Connecticut Insurance, and for goodness sake, WEAR A HELMET!!!
