What is Simplify Your Life Week?

Simplify Your Life Week is a week we can and should partake in. It’s a way for you to reset your life, clear your mind, and start fresh, especially if life has been a bit overwhelming and stressful these past few months.

To help you get started, we’ve put together some tips on how you can participate in Simplify Your Life Week:

1. Allow yourself to say “no.”

Often, we pile too much onto our plates due to a fear of missing out or feeling obligated to attend an event.

However, we all need time for ourselves. Learn to unpack your busy schedule, and give yourself a mental break this week. Only take on tasks you have time to do or will benefit you in the future, such as going to the gym, taking your children to the park, or chores.

It’s okay to say “no” to certain happenings, and let your mind and body rest.

2. Create a minimalistic environment.

Life can be a lot more stressful when you have less space in your home, and more items to clean or take care of. Therefore, creating a minimalist environment can help you declutter, get rid of unnecessary items you don’t need, and prevent unnecessary spending on material items.

Additionally, it can also help to free you of the financial burden you may have by owning certain items. Minimalism is a great way to clear your home and mind of excess.

3. Practice mindfulness.

Many of us are too busy to sit down, relax, and fully enjoy the present moment. That’s exactly why you need to take advantage of Simplify Your Life Week! It can benefit you enormously to take a few moments to get away from technology, commotion, or other modern distractions and just breathe. By being more in tune with the current moment, you’ll be more in tune with yourself and others around you, allowing you to focus and remove yourself from any negative or stressful feelings.
