Creating a home inventory is as straightforward as it sounds. It is a detailed record of everything in your home, from top to bottom. If you bought it, it should be on the list! There are a few things you must include alongside your items to ensure a complete inventory. These include:

  • Item description
  • Serial number
  • Purchase date
  • Estimated Value

When it comes to how you will make this inventory, there seems to be one obvious answer, our mobile app, Insurance Agent. Our app makes doing your home inventory quick and easy! Here, let us show you how:

After you have downloaded “Insurance Agent”, selected “Paradiso Insurance, and set up your account go into the “property” tab:

Then, choose “Add Item” (you will first be prompted to take a photo) and the app will take you to this screen. Here you can give details about your item such as where it’s located, it’s cost, as well as other important details.

As you can see you are viewing an item that we already added, a computer for $1500 dollars.

Once you have finished adding all of your items you may email yourself a report in the form of a .pdf document,  as well as share your report with your agent:

This what what your report .pdf will look like:pdf inventory

Of course, yours will have many more items as well as details you have inputted.

Be sure to make note of any expensive items such as jewelry and collectibles. These valuables may need separate insurance.

There you go. Your items are now saved in the apps cloud. This means they are always safe, even if you lose or break your phone!

Having a full home inventory can save you a lot of time and money when it comes to things like figuring out how much insurance to buy, or speeding up the claims process. Remember, you never know when a disaster may strike, however, you can be prepared when it does with a home inventory. Download our app and start your home inventory today!
